The GYROTONIC® Method is practiced in private or duet classes under the instruction of one of our qualified GYROTONIC® instructors.

Developed by Juliu Horvath, a former professional dancer and Yogi, The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® embraces key principles found in dance, yoga, tai chi, swimming and gymnastics. The fluid and integrated exercises produce long, lean, flexible and toned muscles. The method's specific attention to breath also assists the body’s regenerative capacity, helping to increase blood flow and oxygenation.

Exercises are executed using specially crafted equipment that is designed with total regard to fluidity and freedom of movement. The unique equipment guides the body with resistance along circular pathways that nurtures natural three-dimensional movement. Unlike most conventional exercise where linear or isolated movements are performed, GYROTONIC® emphasizes multiple joint articulations. The uniqueness of the system is that it simultaneously stretches and strengthens the entire body. Special attention is given to the mobility of the spine and maintaining correct posture. Throughout a GYROTONIC® workout you are lengthening and decompressing the spine. This means reversing the effects that gravity has on our body as well as breaking through repeated negative posture patterns.
